Holo-Gauze technology used at the 2017 Grammy Awards

14 February 2017

We are delighted that our client Holotronica, a hologram FX company based in Bristol, provided the holographic projection screen used by Beyoncé during her live performance at the 2017 Grammy Awards on 12 February 2017.

Holotronica’s product Holo-Gauze is a front projection screen which provides large-scale 3D hologram effects.  The screen is highly transparent and highly reflective and helped to provide the amazing visual effects seen during Beyoncé’s performance of Love Drought and Sandcastles from her award-winning album Lemonade.  Some of the visual effects provided by Holo-Gauze included a holographic projection of Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy and the projection of a levitating chair.

Joseph Lenthall and Callum McGuinn have worked with Holotronica to secure patent protection for their Holo-Gauze product.
