Mewburn Ellis sponsor Team Bath Racing Electric Car
Mewburn Ellis is proud to have sponsored Team Bath Racing Electric (TBRe) since 2016. Simon Parry, Andy King, and Dan Thornton, patent and trade mark attorneys from Mewburn Ellis, will attend the launch event for the TBRe17 racing car on 31 May at the University of Bath, where they will meet the TBRe team and see the TBRe17 vehicle first hand.
TBRe is a motorsport engineering project run by engineering students from the University of Bath. The team have been working together to design and build a high-performance electric vehicle for the Formula Student competition run by the IMECHE. The TBRe project is an opportunity for the support and engineering members of the team to prove themselves in performance engineering and the motorsport industry context. Performance engineering, with motorsport as an example, is of course synonymous with innovation – innovation of the type that Mewburn Ellis has been supporting for 150 years.
The launch event on Wednesday is the precursor to the main, dynamic event that will be held on 20-23 July 2017, and which will see all of the Formula Student teams’ vehicles being put through their paces at the Silverstone international circuit, home to the British Grand Prix. Mewburn Ellis’ Stephen Carter and Simon Parry will be at the Silverstone event to cheer on the TBRe17 car.
Everyone at Mewburn Ellis wishes TBRe the very best of success – both at the launch event next week and at the Silverstone weekend in July.
