Read our law and practice guidesAlessia is an experienced Italian lawyer and member of our legal services team. Alessia has over a decade of post qualified legal practice, mainly with transaction focus, and with particular emphasis on corporate restructurings.
Her work currently focuses on the interplay between Company Law and Intellectual Property. She advises on high value / high risk commercial transactions, in particular licensing, collaboration deals, (IP) restructurings, acquisition and disposals, technology transfer, and due diligence projects.
Moreover, Alessia assists clients strategically with respect to obtaining, enforcing, defending against and commercializing intellectual property rights. She also supports the litigation team in intellectual property dispute resolution matters.

Outside legal counsel mainly for SMEs based in Europe (Italy and Germany) in the sectors of infrastructures, constructions, medium and large distribution, energy, essential public services, pharmaceuticals, technology and innovation. Alessia also assisted a leading Italian research institute in international cooperation projects in the field of public health and food safety.
Background
Alessia has a degree in law from the University of Padua (Italy). She trained in boutique law firms focussed in financial markets, company and banking law. After qualifying as Italian lawyer in 2010, she concentrated in the area of M&A, contract law, commercial litigation, insolvency and corporate restructuring operations.
Alessia obtained in 2019 an academic specialization (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property, both under the civil and common law system perspective, primarily US-American, from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC), a Cooperation Project of the Max Planck Gesellschaft, Universität Augsburg, Technische Universität München and The George Washington University Washington, DC.
Alessia is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E).
