Lindsey handles life sciences patent work in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and agricultural science sectors. She is a member of our Plant Variety Rights (PVR) team.

Lindsey’s clients include major biotechnology companies, universities and research institutions in the US and UK.
Lindsey has a degree in Natural Sciences (Plant Sciences) from the University of Cambridge. Ph.D. and postdoctoral research in molecular biology and biochemistry in the field of plant biotechnology. Her Ph.D. research focused on the modification of cell wall metabolism during fruit development and ripening to improve fruit quality. Her postdoctoral research used phage display technology in the study of auxin-binding proteins. Further postdoctoral research related to the manipulation of gibberellin metabolism for the improvement of wheat.
She is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), regularly attending the AUTM Annual Meeting and is also a regular visitor to the US.
Lindsey joined Mewburn Ellis LLP in 2002, qualifying as a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2006. She joined the partnership in 2008.
