Eleanor is a member of our chemistry & materials patent team with a particular focus on industrial chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, biotechnology, agricultural chemistry and nanotechnology.

Eleanor works regularly for a range of local and international clients including university clients, research institutes and global corporations. Eleanor is experienced in prosecution of global patent portfolios and frequently provides patentability and freedom to operate opinions for her clients.
Eleanor has a Masters degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge specialising in Chemistry and a DPhil in organic chemistry from the University of Oxford focussing on asymmetric catalysis and the development of new asymmetric methodology. Eleanor conducted postdoctoral research at Kyoto University, Japan, in organometallic catalysis and the production of silicon stereocentres. She also conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford developing industrially applicable asymmetric methodology.
Eleanor joined Mewburn Ellis LLP in 2013, qualifying as a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2017.
