Read our law and practice guidesJane is an associate working in our chemistry and life sciences teams. Her work involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields, and she also has experience in opposition work at the EPO. Jane is a member of the sustainability group at Mewburn Ellis and has a keen interest in sustainable and green technologies.

Background
Jane has a MSci degree in Natural Sciences and a PhD in Chemical Biology from the University of Cambridge. Her doctoral research focused on developing novel methods to detect sites of DNA damage by next-generation sequencing.
Jane joined Mewburn Ellis in 2019, qualifying as a Chartered UK Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2023.
