Mewburn Ellis donate £10,000, to All About Trans

Once again, our LGBTQ+ group has chosen All About Trans as one of their charities to support this year. We have made a £10,000 donation and the LGBTQ+ group will also be looking at ways to fundraise to add to this donation throughout the year.

Since launching in 2011 All About Trans has worked with over 700 media professionals from soaps, dramas, and news media to create spaces for dialogue and understanding. They bring transgender people together with professionals from across the media to connections and inspire authentic media content which reflects the real-life experiences of transgender people.

All About Trans is a programme run by Heard, a leading charity focused on working with people and the media to inspire content and communication that changes hearts and minds.

“All About Trans is thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Mewburn Ellis. This support has made a huge difference to our work in improving media representation of transgender experiences. It has enabled us to have a greater impact in improving transgender representation across both news and popular culture media, broadening our work to reach journalists from a wide range of outlets including the BBC and Cosmopolitan. We’re really grateful for the support from Mewburn Ellis and their LGBTQ+ group, which enables us to continue to build a better world for transgender people.”

Madeleine Ellis-Petersen, Senior Programme Manager at All About Trans.

“We are very glad that we can work with All About Trans again this year. Hearing first-hand how their team is working to improve the representation of trans people has been fantastic, and we look forward to supporting that work further in the future.”

Amelia Sloan, member of the Mewburn LGBTQ+ group.
