Mewburn Ellis donate £10,000 to Rewilding Britain

Sustainability is at the heart of our business and means a lot to our people at Mewburn Ellis. Our sustainability collaboration group selected Rewilding Britain as one of our sustainability charities to support with a £10,000 donation.

Rewilding Britain work with a diverse range of partners and allies to create a healthier, wilder future, through their network of practitioners as well as challenging decision makers and landowners to change laws and policies. Their vision is to see rewilding flourishing in Britain, to reconnect with the natural world, to sustain communities and tackle the extinction and climate crises.

We are excited to work together to see actionable changes, not only are they making changes on land with 171611HA in rewilding flourishing but we’re also seeing 506KM2 seabed in rewilding, with this number just increasing.

Kate Barclay, Head of Fundraising & Partnerships at Rewilding Britain comments, ‘Rewilding Britain was thrilled to be chosen as a recipient for Mewburn's donation, a phenomenal level of support. Donations like this can help to support more rewilding initiatives, and to encourage more people to embrace the transformation that we need across our land and seas. We're excited to see that else we can achieve in the next couple of years together - partnerships like this are critical to drive more finance into the urgent restoration of Britain's nature. Thanks so much!’

Eleanor Maciver our Sustainability Champion states, “We’re extremely proud of our “Mewburn Forest” at over 58,000 trees which we started in 2022 with the aim of “giving something back to nature for every piece of work we do” and are excited by the effect this has on improving biodiversity around the globe. Inspired by stories of personal efforts to improve biodiversity locally (big and small), Rewilding Britain was an easy and worthwhile choice for our sustainability charities and we’re exciting to see the work they are doing first hand!”
