Mewburn Ellis is delighted to once again be ranked in World Trade Mark Review 1000, the research directory which focuses exclusively on trade mark practices and practitioners. Now in its tenth year, the WTR 1000 shines a spotlight on the firms and individuals that are deemed outstanding from over 80 key jurisdictions globally.
This year we have received positive comments in relation to our flourishing growth strategy with WTR researchers declaring “Mewburn Ellis is a firm on the move, both literally and figuratively. The Munich office has relocated to larger premises, as have the Bristol and Cambridge bureaux – a sure sign of the considerable, growing demand for the outfit’s services”.
Also high praise for our new Head of Trade Marks (and former CITMA president), Kate O’Rourke. "She (Kate) has done some phenomenal work on Brexit. Very active on IP committees, she is a strong all-round trademark professional with particular skills in commerciality and business development. The breadth of her international experience is impressive – it’s not a coincidence that she has enjoyed such success in her Brexit-related activities.”
There is recognition for our new and innovative director position, introduced as an alternative to Partnership in appreciation of the evolving needs of our people. Trade mark director Sofia Arenal is hailed a ‘true internationalist' and is described as “Highly commercial and very professional, she gives as good as she gets.”
Individuals are judged on their depth of expertise, the level of work on which they are typically instructed, along with peer and client feedback so we’re particularly pleased to see Kate O’Rourke, Sofia Arenal and Dydra Donath are all recommended attorneys.
