KAREN MURPHY

Karen is a Patent Paralegal with over 25 years’ of experience in the IP sector. She assists the firm’s patent team with filing and prosecuting patent and design applications. She has worked in both inhouse IP departments and private practice.

• Patent filings and prosecution in the UK and Europe
• International (PCT) and National phase patent prosecution worldwide
• Co-ordinating execution and filings of formal documents
• Managing patent portfolios of all sizes

Clients

Karen works with a wide range of clients mainly within the mechanical and electrical engineering field. She currently works primarily with a UK-based medical device company.

Background

Karen has a CIPA Certificate in Patent Administration and ITMA Trade Mark Administration.

She joined Mewburn Ellis in 2016.
