Ben is experienced in patent drafting, prosecution and Freedom to Operate within the mechanical engineering, medical device and consumer products sectors. He also deals with filing and infringement issues relating to registered and unregistered designs.

Background

Ben has a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Melbourne. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Queensland.

Ben started his career at a large top-tier Australian IP firm in 2012, qualifying as an Australian and New Zealand Patent Attorney in 2014. He then joined Mewburn Ellis in 2018, qualifying as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2021 and a European Patent Attorney in 2022.
