Scott is a member of our life sciences team, working primarily in the biopharma sector. Scott has experience prosecuting patent applications for both local and international clients, and has worked on offensive and defensive oppositions before the EPO.

Clients

Scott’s works with drug discovery/development companies in Europe and the US with a focus on stem cell-enabling technologies, immune-oncology therapies, and diagnostic and prognostic technologies. He also works with Korea-based biopharma companies operating in the therapeutic proteins and industrial fermentation fields.

Background

Scott has an MSci in Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow, which included a year spent working in industry at Pfizer’s Sandwich laboratories. He also has a PhD in Neuroscience from Imperial College London.   His doctoral research focused on neuronal mechanisms of anaesthesia and neuroprotection.

Scott joined Mewburn Ellis in 2015, qualifying as a Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney in 2018.
