Andrew is a member of our life sciences patent team working in the biotechnology sector.

Andrew has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for local and international clients. He also works on freedom to operate and patent landscape analysis.
He has a BA(Hons) degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the University of Liverpool. His doctoral research focused on finding regulatory transcription factors affecting the plant circadian clock, during which he spent two years on secondment at the RIKEN Yokohama Institute, Japan.
Andrew joined Mewburn Ellis LLP in 2015 and qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2018.
