Rahila (Rae) is a member of our chemistry and materials patent team.
Rae graduated from the University of Liverpool where she went on to complete her PhD research in polymer chemistry and nanotechnology. She then moved to Germany for three years, having successfully been awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship for the study of controlled differentiation of adipose derived stem cells using self-assembled monolayers. Through her breadth of research experience she has furthered her knowledge in organic chemistry, materials science, and biochemistry.
She began her career as an in-house trainee patent attorney obtaining valuable experience in freedom-to-operate issues and also IP strategy.
Rae joined Mewburn Ellis LLP in 2019.
