We are recruiting for an experienced Trade Mark Paralegal to be based in our Munich office.
The role
Our Paralegals are vital to our business, helping to optimise the levels of service we provide to our diverse client base.
In this key role, you will manage your own client portfolio and have full responsibility for all associated workflow and deadlines. The workload is varied, and the role is fast paced. Your portfolio will include up to 250 active trade mark cases and you will receive administrative support from a dedicated administrator team. You will report to our Trade Mark Paralegal Manager and work closely with attorneys every day.
This role sits at the heart of the client relationship, and you will need to be highly proactive and confident in your communication, coordinating activity between the client, the attorney and the relevant IPO.
As a key point of contact for your clients you’ll develop long-lasting, quality relationships that add value to the client service experience. You will ensure adherence to client or firm processes and that deadlines are met.
The role will be at the forefront of change in the IP Support Team, and provides an opportunity to make a difference to an expanding and progressive IP Firm and to support the ongoing development of others within the wider team.

About you
You will hold the Patentanwaltsfachangestellte qualification or Fremdsprachenkorrespondent/in qualification and be able to demonstrate solid post qualification experience clearly specialising in Trade Marks. You will possess excellent, business fluent language skills in German and English.
An experienced paralegal you will have worked in similar role, ideally in a patent firm, and will understand the importance of clear communication, building trust and delivering results in a focused and professional manner. You will have sound working knowledge of IP procedures in International, National, and European Jurisdictions.
You will be self-motivated and have excellent planning and organisation skills. You will be flexible and adaptable, and able to switch between competing priorities when required. You will have excellent attention to detail. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and friendly manner. As part of the wider team you will be comfortable to make decisions and delegate work as appropriate and support others to achieve the firm wide goals.
